Brake Repair

When it comes to your car’s safety, brakes top the list of items that should be checked regularly.

For routine brake repair and maintenance, it’s important to check the vehicle’s breaking system at least once a year. A well done inspection should include brake lining wear, condition of hoses and brake lines, brake fluid level, rotor thickness, brake and dash warning lights, as well as taking the car for a test drive to detect other potential brake system problems or needed break repairs.

It’s important to be alert and recognize the danger signs of needed brake repair or replacement before you have bigger brake system problems. Brakes tell us when it’s time for brake repair or brake maintenance. Listen for the brakes squealing or scraping and feel if there’s a “wobble.” Although a squealing noise is the number one indicator that something is wrong, if the car pulls left or right when braking, or if the front end shakes, those are both signs of excessive brake wear. If the brake pedal begins to feel spongy, it could be a sign that air has entered the brake system or fluid is low. Other warning signs include brake warning lights, brake grabbing, low pedal feeling, vibration, hard pedal feel and squealing or scratching noise of metal against metal.

Our brake repair service include installation of new brake pads or rear shoes, resurface rotors or rear drums, repack front wheel bearings (except sealed units), inspect the master cylinder and brake hoses, then road test the car.

We never charge our customers for an inspection. Our free Brake inspection includes inspection of the rotors, calipers, drums, pads, pistons and brake lines. We just ask when we provide the inspection for free (that others charge you) that you have the needed repair work performed by us and tell your friends that we do the best brake repair work in town.

Until a complete brake inspection is performed, we cannot quote you a price on what it will cost to fix your brakes. However, if a basic brake job is all that your vehicle needs, then take advantage of these prices. If your brakes need other repairs, we will quote you a complete price before any work is performed.
